It is our primary focus is to educate children so they experience God’s love through the following affirmations:
Each child is a treasure and has unique and special God-given personality.
Each child will be given love and security, as God gives these unconditionally and without favor.
Each child will be taught Christian character by example and by practice in every aspect of their educational experience.
Each child and their family will be treated with respect and dignity.
Our goal is to have Grace Harbor School provide quality Christian education through caring staff who exemplify a Christian lifestyle according to the Word of God with compassion, creativity and high standards, in order to prepare our children to live spiritually mature, morally upright, and physically healthy lives as part of their families and community. We look forward to serving you and your children between the ages of 2 months and Transitional Kindergarten.
Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Curriculum
Our students will have daily opportunities to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and language skills that they will use throughout their schooling. Reading, recognizing short words, counting, math fundamentals, printing, early social studies, healthy habits, early science, and time concepts will be implemented and integrated throughout each child’s day at GHCS.
SEL – Social Emotional Learning
The development of our student’s self-esteem is one of the most important goals of our program. As our students are working on an academic level, they will have the opportunity to integrate the use of social-emotional learnings. They will be improving their social-emotional competence, increased regulation, and improved classroom behavior. These skills will lead to the development of an increased level of school success, school connectedness and belonging, improved peer relationships, and self-awareness.
